It's been a while since I wrote. I'm not good at maintaining these blog things.
I wish I could say something positive about that figure. It's under $24K, which is good. I am happy about my credit score, up 25 points! Oh, and looking back,my interest rates are lookin' real good.
I'm down another card, bringing my total to 6. I'm quite happy about that, actually. I want to have as few cards as possible. I just keep transferring debt and trying to retire the empty card. I think I know what I have to do now: shred the card. None of this freezing business, just get rid of the damn thing altogether!
Another positive is that my federal return came in! Woo hoo! At one point I made a goal to pay off the card with the highest interest, with the return. Upon further reflection, and with an eye to my immediate financial future, I've decided to pay off half of the card, putting the rest of the money to work covering bills and future expenses. Oh, and I also bought a pair of shoes for my upcoming trip to Europe (a gift).
I've been attempting to follow a budget, and last month was interesting. I actually finished the month about even, give or take $25. I certainly overspent in some categories, but hey, I'm not perfect. Better luck this month.
So, la di da, that's the update! I'm off to enjoy a cheap night at home watching movies I own.
